According to Chapter 18, Sai Baba regarded these texts as the cornerstones of spiritual attainment. The Uddhava Gita, which contains the dialogue between Krishna and Uddhava, was considered a divinely inspired book, even superior to the famous dialogue with Arjuna. It was believed that reading it with faith could lead one to God instantly. Similarly, the commentary on the Gita known as Jnaneshwari (or Bhavartha Deepika) and the eleventh Skandha of the Bhagavat were described as Nath’s "platform for the highest spiritual goal." Baba made his devotees read these texts daily in Shirdi because he saw them as the essential essence of the Bhagavat religion, crucial for the ultimate salvation and welfare of souls.
Why were the Uddhava Gita and Jnaneshwari considered so important by Sainath?
