Chapter 44 explains that after Baba’s breath ceased, a great deal of doubt arose among His followers. They were unsure if this was a final departure or a state of deep trance (Samadhi). This confusion, as the chapter recounts, was rooted in a past event from 32 years prior. At that time, Baba had seemingly passed away by drawing His life force into the crown of His head for three full days. However, He suddenly returned to His body, driving away everyone's anxiety. This memory made the devotees hesitant to accept His death as final, wondering if He might rise again.
Why were the devotees uncertain about whether Sai Baba had actually passed away after His breath stopped?
