Why were people confused about whether Sai Baba had actually died?

The confusion surrounding Sai Baba's passing stemmed from a previous incident that had occurred 32 years prior. Chapter 44 recalls an event where Baba drew his life force into the crown of his head, remaining in a state that appeared to be death for three full days. At that time, everyone assumed he was gone, but he suddenly returned to his body, dispelling their anxiety. Because of this historical precedent, when his breath ceased for the final time, his followers were understandably doubtful. They questioned whether it was another temporary Samadhi (trance) or if it was truly his final departure, making the determination of death uncertain.
