Why wasn't the Shri Sai Satcharitra completed by its original author, and who finished it?

According to Chapter 53, the original author, Hemadpant (Dabholkar), was unable to complete the Shri Sai Satcharitra because he suddenly passed away. He had made a promise in the previous chapter to provide a summary and conclude the book, but his death prevented this. The text notes this as an exception to the general rule that the person who begins a book should be the one to complete it. Chapter 53 itself was written by a subsequent author who, after receiving Hemadpant's notes from his son Gajanan, undertook the task of writing the final summary with profound humility, attributing the ability to complete the work entirely to the grace of Sai Baba.
