According to the retrospective review in Chapter 52, the book "Sai Leela," referring to the Satcharitra, was written to remember the experiences Sai Baba gave to His devotees. Sai Baba himself initiated this work by choosing Hemadpant for the task. It is noted that Baba held his hand and guided him, causing this true life story to be written even though Hemadpant felt he was devoid of specialized knowledge. The chapter also mentions that some of the stories were narrated by Sai with His own mouth, and the inspiration for compiling the book came after He took Mahasamadhi, to record His fame for the salvation of His followers.
Why was the Sai Satcharitra written, and who was chosen to write it?
