Why was the devotee Sapatnekar so distressed by his interactions with Sai Baba in Shirdi?

Sapatnekar was deeply distressed because every time he went for Sai Baba's darshan and bowed, Baba would rebuke him with the words "Chal Hat," meaning "Go away." As described in Shri Sai Satcharitra, Chapter 48, this made him feel singled out, as he observed Baba treating everyone else with "extreme love." He wondered what past deeds or sins could be causing this displeasure, noting that while others experienced a "daily Diwali of joy," his own forehead was marked only by Baba's rejection. This constant rebuff made him sleepless and caused him to lose his appetite, as he felt his karma had reached a peak.
