Why was the devotee Sapatnekar so distressed and unhappy in Shirdi?

Sapatnekar was deeply distressed because he felt singled out for harsh treatment by Sai Baba. According to Shri Sai Satcharitra, whenever he went for Darshan and bowed, Baba would rebuke him with the words "Chal Hat" (Go away). He felt immense sadness observing that while other devotees experienced a "daily Diwali of joy" in Baba's presence, he only received rebukes. This led him to question his past deeds and sins, wondering if his initial argumentative and doubtful nature towards Baba was the cause of this displeasure. He found no joy in food or sleep due to this persistent rejection, as detailed in chapter 48.
