Why was the Chavadi procession a significant event for devotees like Balaram?

📖 Chapter 51

The Chavadi procession held great significance for devotees, representing a time of double joy and devotion. As mentioned in Chapter 51, for the devotee Balaram, a Thursday that was also a Chavadi day was 'truly a memorable day of double joy.' He was enthusiastic to witness the splendor of the event. The entire village, both men and women, participated, 'joyfully shouting slogans of victory.' The ceremony involved grand bhajans, decorating the palanquin, and accompanying Baba with music and reverence. Inside the Chavadi, devotees had the opportunity to directly serve Baba by adorning Him with ornaments, anointing Him with sandalwood, and washing His feet, making it a deeply cherished experience.
