Why was Sapatnekar so distressed by Sai Baba's reaction to him in Shirdi?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 48

Sapatnekar was deeply distressed because every time he approached Sai Baba for Darshan, he was met with the same harsh rebuke: "Chal Hat," meaning "Go away." As described in Chapter 48, this treatment made him feel uniquely singled out, especially since he observed Baba behaving with "extreme love" towards others. He began to agonize over his past deeds, wondering if his karma had peaked or if he had become a shelter for infinite sins. This constant rejection caused him great turmoil, making him feel that while others experienced a "daily Diwali of joy," his own forehead was marked only with rejection, leading to sleeplessness and loss of appetite.
