Why was Sapatnekar so distressed by Sai Baba's behavior towards him?

Sapatnekar was deeply distressed because every time he went for Sai Baba's Darshan, he was harshly rebuked with the words "Chal Hat," meaning "Go away." As recounted in Chapter 48 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, this treatment made him feel utterly dejected, especially since he observed Baba treating all other devotees with extreme love and joy. He began to internalize this rejection, wondering what past sins or violations of Dharma he had committed to deserve such singular displeasure. Sapatnekar even speculated that his own initial argumentative and doubtful mindset towards Baba might be the cause, leading him to a state of sleeplessness and despair where even food and water lost their taste.
