Why was Sapatnekar so distressed by Sai Baba's behavior, and what did he ultimately decide to do about it?

Sapatnekar was deeply distressed because whenever he went for Sai Baba's Darshan and bowed, Baba would rebuke him with "Chal Hat" (Go away). As described in Chapter 48 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, this made him feel singled out, as Baba treated everyone else with extreme love. Sapatnekar wondered if it was due to his past karma or his initial argumentative and doubtful attitude. Despite his pain and feeling that a "daily Diwali of joy" was for everyone but him, he made a firm personal determination to not leave Shirdi until he received Baba's grace, deciding to stay right there with a steady mind.
