Why was Sapatnekar so distressed by his interactions with Sai Baba in Shirdi?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 48

Sapatnekar was deeply distressed because every time he went for Sai Baba's darshan and bowed, Baba would rebuke him with the words "Chal Hat" (Go away). As described in Chapter 48 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, this treatment made him feel singled out, especially since he observed Baba behaving with extreme love towards everyone else. He began to question his past deeds and karma, wondering if he had committed infinite sins. Sapatnekar even speculated that Baba's displeasure might stem from his own initial argumentative and doubtful attitude. This constant rejection caused him so much anguish that food and water became tasteless, and he suffered from sleeplessness.
