Why was Dixit so anxious in Ahmednagar, and what finally brought him relief?

Dixit's anxiety in Ahmednagar was not due to his professional work but stemmed from an intense spiritual longing. As explained in Chapter 51, once his election duties were over, his only focus became how he could get to Shirdi to meet Sai Baba. He was gripped by the overwhelming worry of finding a companion and an introduction, wondering, "Who will take me before Baba and place me at His feet?" This deep concern persisted even after he asked the Mirikars for help. His worry was completely vanquished when he received news from Nanasahib Panshe and Appasahib Gadre that Madhavrao Deshpande, a prominent devotee from Shirdi, had just arrived in Nagar. Hearing this, Dixit felt great satisfaction, as the path to Baba had finally become clear.
