As Sai Baba fell seriously ill, Bapusaheb Buti became very uneasy and troubled in his heart. Chapter 39 describes his regret, as he worried that the lakhs of rupees spent on the mansion would be wasted if Baba's feet never touched the temple. He lamented, 'After Baba has left his body, what is the use of Murlidhar or the house? What is the use of the mansion or the temple?'
