Why was Amir Shakkar's stay in the Chavadi so difficult, and why did he endure it for so long?

📖 Chapter 22

Amir Shakkar's stay was incredibly difficult because he suffered from rheumatism, and the Chavadi was a dilapidated, damp, and uneven place filled with creatures, garbage, and knee-deep holes. As detailed in Chapter 22, the conditions were so miserable that even a dog would not endure them. Despite these external hardships and his physical pain, Amir stayed there happily for nine months. He endured it because he had certain faith in Sai Baba's command. He accepted Baba's word as the ultimate medicine and the company of Sai as the 'Great Prasad,' which gave him the strength to overcome the miserable circumstances.
