Why was Amir Shakkar's faith tested, and how did he respond to the difficult conditions of the Chavadi?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 22

Amir Shakkar's faith was profoundly tested when Baba instructed him, a man suffering from rheumatism, to live in a cold, damp, and dilapidated Chavadi. As Chapter 22 describes, the external conditions were entirely contrary to what one would consider helpful for his ailment. Despite the misery, the presence of scorpions, and the general chaos, Amir's internal faith remained certain. He accepted Baba's word as the 'Great Prasad' and his medicine. He chose to stay there happily for the ordained nine months, demonstrating that his trust in Baba superseded his physical suffering and the logical arguments against staying in such a place.
