Why was a new, detailed work like the Shri Sai Satcharita necessary for the community of Sai Baba's followers, considering other works already existed?

The preface detailed in Chapter 0 explains that while earlier works by poets like Shri Dasganu Maharaj mentioned Sai Baba, they were not comprehensive enough for a dedicated Parayan or Saptah of his life alone, often covering a saint's biography in just a few pages. To truly build a community practice around a single saint, a detailed and comprehensive biography is essential. The Shri Sai Satcharita, written by Annasaheb Dabholkar, was created to fill this gap for Sai Baba's devotees, providing a work suitable for deep study and communal devotional readings, much like the Guru Charitra serves another community.
