Why was a new, detailed biography of Sai Baba like the Shri Sai Satcharita considered necessary when other works already existed?

According to the preface in Chapter 0, while great poets like Shri Dasganu Maharaj had written works such as Shri Bhaktalilamrut, they were not comprehensive enough for a detailed study or Parayan of a single saint's life. These biographies often spanned only a few pages. A detailed, poetic work like the Shri Sai Satcharita was needed to allow devotees to perform in-depth study and Parayans, thereby serving the Guru and achieving the purpose of their lives. This new work filled a void, as very few such comprehensive Guru biographies existed in Maharashtra.
