Why is living a life of devotion on earth considered more valuable than attaining heaven, and what does this imply for how a community of Sai devotees should live?

📖 Chapter 37

Chapter 37 argues that the earth-world is of profound importance, even more so than heavenly abodes. While heaven is dismissed as a place for temporary sensual enjoyment from which one eventually falls, the earth offers a unique opportunity. The text states that even though life on earth is fleeting, a person who offers every action to God can attain a state of fearlessness. This implies that a community of devotees should not be distracted by seeking heavenly rewards but should focus on the here and now. The core purpose of the community should be to support each member in dedicating their actions to God, narrating stories of the Guru, and engaging in worship, as this is the true path to liberation.
