Why is being born human considered such a great fortune compared to other forms of life?

📖 Chapter 8

Human birth is considered the best among all species and an incredibly rare prize. According to Chapter 8, it is obtained only through "great good fortune and gathering millions of merits." The primary reason for its value is that only humans possess the "ladder of discrimination"—the unique ability to ask profound questions like, "Where did I come from? Who created me?" Other species, whether animal or plant, are born and perish without this capacity for self-inquiry. They do not know the past, future, present, or the state of God. This capacity for reflection makes the human body the exclusive vehicle for understanding one's true self and stopping the cycle of birth and death.
