Why is a community centered on devotion considered more valuable than one focused on attaining heavenly rewards?

📖 Chapter 37

As detailed in Chapter 37, a community focused on devotion is superior because heavenly rewards are temporary and ultimately unsatisfying. The scripture questions the value of any place, even heaven, where there is no chanting of God's name or narration of the stories of the Guru. It states that after one's merit is exhausted, one falls from heaven, making the pursuit pointless. In contrast, a life of devotion on Earth, however short, is of profound importance. A community that fosters a spirit of service, unwavering devotion, and the remembrance of God through music, dance, and worship helps its members attain a permanent place of fearlessness by offering all actions to God.
