Why does the text say that even a wise person can be ignorant? What kind of attachments lead to this?

📖 Chapter 50

Chapter 50 explains that a person's knowledge can be covered by ignorance, making them deluded despite being considered 'wise' by worldly standards. This delusion stems from strong attachments and a lack of devotion. The text specifically calls out a person whose mind is fixed on wealth and luxury, who is unsatisfied in sense enjoyment, and who is constantly thinking of their wife and sons. Such a person, deluded by money, children, and family, does not know their own true welfare. As Chapter 50 states, as long as such a person is without devotion, their knowledge is considered mere ignorance.
