Why does the text caution against argumentation, and what characteristics are associated with a mind prone to it?

📖 Chapter 2

Chapter 2 strongly advises against engaging in argumentation and dualistic explanations, labeling them as useless efforts. The text posits that where there is a mind inclined towards argumentation, there is an abundance of ignorance and Maya. Such a disposition is said to lack purity of self-interest and is instead filled with bad thoughts and false logic. A person with this mindset is deemed unfit for self-knowledge and is consumed by ignorance, leading to unhappiness in this life and the next. This warning is presented just before the author, Hemadpant, introduces the story of his own naming, hinting at his past nature.
