Why does the Satcharitra seem to devalue the pursuit of a traditional heavenly abode, and what alternative does it propose?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 37

The text discourages seeking the conventional idea of heaven because it is seen as merely a place for sensual enjoyment that lacks the remembrance of Lord Narayana. As explained in Chapter 37, such a place is of no use if there is no chanting of Govinda's name. The superior alternative proposed is the realization of the divine heavenly state, which is the Virat or Cosmic Self-form. This state is free from all mental grief and fear. It is a state of non-duality where the single divine principle that pervades all of creation is recognized, ending the cycle of Samsara caused by the ignorant belief in one's separateness from Parabrahman.
