Why does the author pause the main narrative to explain how he was named 'Hemadpant'?

The author explains in Chapter 2 that he is taking a detour to tell the story of his naming because he had promised the listeners he would do so at the end of the first chapter. Since the name 'Hemadpant' appears at the end of every chapter of the 'Sai Leela' book, he acknowledges that a doubt about the identity of this 'Pant' would naturally arise. He feels it is appropriate to satisfy the listeners' curiosity and considers this explanation to be an inspiration from Sai Baba Himself. After this sub-story, he promises the sequence of Sai's life story will continue.
