According to the teachings in Chapter 19, Sai Baba places supreme value on the quality of patience, or Saburi. He states that even if a person is a great scholar or possesses many other virtues, their life is ultimately 'in vain' without it. This is because patience is the foundational strength that allows one to navigate life's difficulties successfully. Baba calls it the 'manliness of men' and describes it as a powerful force that wards off sin, distress, calamities, and fear. Without this essential virtue, a person remains in a 'pitiable state' and cannot effectively overcome challenges, rendering their other accomplishments hollow.
Why does Baba say that a person's life is 'in vain' without patience?
