Why does Baba place so much importance on patience? What are the benefits of 'Saburi'?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 19

Sai Baba elevates patience, or 'Saburi', to a supreme virtue, identifying it as one of the two 'paise' his own Guru required. According to Chapter 19, patience is synonymous with courage and is described as the "manliness of men." Its benefits are extensive: it helps one cross the shore when heavy burdens fall, wards off sin, distress, and poverty, and pushes away fear and dread. Baba calls patience a "mine of virtues" and the "queen of the King of Good Thoughts." He considers it and Faith (Nishtha) to be inseparable sisters, concluding that even a great scholar's life is in vain without patience.
