Kakasaheb Dixit's perspective was deeply spiritual, and he did not prioritize physical healing. When Chandorkar suggested that seeing Sai could cure his lameness, Dixit showed little interest in that outcome. As chapter 4 explains, he did not consider his physical lameness a true deficiency. He believed that the 'real lameness is of the mind' and he asked Sai to remove that instead. He viewed the physical body as a temporary 'worldly carriage' and was content to let his leg remain lame while he sought spiritual progress.
Why didn't Kakasaheb Dixit ask Sai Baba to cure his lame leg?
