Why did the parents of the sick child decide to travel to Shirdi, according to Chapter 34?

📖 Chapter 34

As narrated in Chapter 34, the parents of the child suffering from a bone-cyst decided to go to Shirdi after all other options had failed. They had exhausted all medical remedies, both native and foreign, and even surgery was unsuccessful. It was then that they heard about a famous saint, or Avaliya, in Shirdi named Sai Maharaj. They were told that this 'King of Yogis' could heal diseases by his sight and that if he applied Udi with his own hand, even incurable diseases would perish. Seeing this as a last resort, they decided to try this remedy, thinking, 'What is there to lose in gaining this experience?' and hoping this final attempt would avert their calamity.
