Why did Sapatnekar feel that Sai Baba was angry with him?

Sapatnekar felt that Sai Baba was angry with him because every time he went for Darshan and bowed, Baba would rebuke him with the words "Chal Hat," which means "Go away." As described in Shri Sai Satcharitra Chapter 48, this treatment caused him great distress, especially since he observed Baba behaving with "extreme love" towards everyone else. Sapatnekar lamented that while others experienced a "daily Diwali of joy," his own forehead was marked only with "Chal Hat." He began to wonder if his past karma or his initial argumentative nature were the cause of Baba's apparent displeasure.
