Sapatnekar felt singled out and distressed because whenever he went for darshan, Sai Baba would unerringly rebuke him with the words "Chal Hat." In contrast, he observed Baba behaving with "extreme love" towards all other devotees. As detailed in Chapter 48, this led him to deep introspection and sorrow. He lamented that while others experienced a "daily Diwali of joy," his own forehead was marked with rejection. He wondered if his past karma had reached its peak or if his initial argumentative and doubtful disposition towards Baba was the reason for this unique displeasure. This painful experience of being seemingly rejected while others were embraced caused him great anguish.
Why did Sapatnekar feel that Sai Baba was angry only with him?
