Why did Sai Baba specifically tell Jog to give Cholkar tea with lots of sugar?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 15

Sai Baba's instruction to Jog to serve Cholkar "cups of tea, well-filled with sugar" was a deeply significant and deliberate act. As Chapter 15 explains, Baba himself did not drink tea, so his sudden thought of it was unusual. The purpose was to give Cholkar a clear and undeniable sign that his secret vow to abstain from sugar had been seen, acknowledged, and accepted. Baba's words, which amazed Cholkar and brought tears to his eyes, were meant to confirm his faith and impress the "stamp of devotion" upon him. It was Baba's way of communicating, "Your vow of sugar has been accepted, and your rule of renunciation is also complete."
