Why did Sai Baba make his devotee Kashiram face financial difficulties?

📖 Chapter 0

According to the details provided in Chapter 0, Sai Baba's actions were a deliberate Leela designed to remove an obstacle from his devotee's spiritual path. Kashiram had developed pride in his ability to give Dakshina, feeling upset on days Maharaj did not accept it. To cure this pride, Maharaj began demanding Dakshina from him relentlessly, even forcing him to borrow money. This entire ordeal was orchestrated to make Kashiram realize he did not have the power to give, but that it was God's grace. Once Kashiram learned this lesson, his financial condition improved and he became prosperous again.
