Sai Baba's anger towards the women was not because they helped him, but because of their underlying greed. Chapter 1 explains that after the wheat was ground, the women's minds became greedy to loot Baba. They began to divide the flour into four parts for themselves, assuming it was their reward. It was at this moment that Baba became angry, scolding them, "Have you gone mad? Where are you taking it? Taking your father's property?" He accused them of coming to "eat for free, running to loot me." The women were consequently humiliated because of their greed. This story from Chapter 1 shows that Baba's anger was a reaction to their selfish intentions and their failure to understand the sacred, selfless purpose of his divine play.
