Why did Sai Baba get angry and curse Annasaheb, saying "damn it!" when asked to find him a new job after retirement?

The phrase from Chapter 3, "He will get a job, damn it! Now he should do my service," should be understood in its full context rather than as a curse or an expression of anger. When Anna Chinchonikar worried about Annasaheb's finances, Baba used this emphatic expression to pivot to his main point: that Annasaheb's new, true "job" was to engage in His service. Baba immediately followed this by promising that if Annasaheb did this service, "he will find happiness in the household" and his material needs would always be met. The ultimate job was spiritual, not another worldly position.
