Sai Baba held patience, or Saburi, as a supreme virtue essential for spiritual and worldly success. According to Chapter 19, he described patience as 'the manliness of men' and a 'mine of virtues.' He taught that patience provides the courage to overcome heavy burdens and that it is the quality that will carry a person 'to the other shore.' He further explained that patience wards off sin, poverty, and distress, averts calamities, and pushes away fear. He considered it the 'queen of the King of Good Thoughts' and a dear sister to Faith (Nishtha), stating that a person's life, no matter how virtuous or learned they are, is in vain without it.
Why did Sai Baba emphasize the importance of patience (Saburi) so much?
