Why did Sai Baba ask his devotees for Dakshina, or offerings?

📖 Chapter 14

Based on Chapter 14, Sai Baba asked for Dakshina from everyone who came for his darshan, regardless of their religion—be it Hindu, Muslim, or Parsi. The text explains that the true purpose of this practice was not for personal gain but as a teaching tool. The essence was that under the pretext of Dakshina, Baba was teaching His devotees to choose humility. He would even command great millionaires to beg for Dakshina from the poor, demonstrating that in His eyes, all were equal, whether a wealthy person or a beggar.
