The primary essence of this act was to teach His devotees humility. For instance, He would even command a great millionaire to beg for Him from a poor person's house. The text explains that the intent behind this practice was to guide devotees to use their accumulated wealth for religious merit rather than spending it on trivial desires and sense objects. Thus, under the pretext of Dakshina, Baba was cultivating virtue in His followers.
