Why did Sai Baba, a saint who is supposed to be desireless, ask devotees for money in the form of Dakshina?

This is a common doubt that might arise in anyone's mind. As Chapter 14 explains, the act of asking for Dakshina was not born from a need for money, as Baba was completely fulfilled and saw no difference between pebbles and diamonds. The core purpose was to teach his devotees a valuable lesson. Under the pretext of Dakshina, Baba was guiding his followers to choose and embrace humility. He even commanded millionaires to go to a poor person's house to beg for Dakshina, reinforcing that before him, the wealthy and the destitute were all equal.
