Why did people seek Sai Baba's darshan, and what could they expect to receive from him?

📖 Chapter 29

People were drawn to seek Sai Baba's darshan after hearing of his fame as a great saint with a generous disposition, as explained in Chapter 29. The text mentions that "Hearing this fame from ear to ear, people developed the desire for his darshan." Upon taking his darshan, a group from the Madras region, for example, "attained peace." However, what one could expect to receive materially was entirely uncertain. Chapter 29 repeatedly emphasizes that Baba's manner was not fixed. He might give money abundantly, offer a sweet, or send someone away empty-handed. The blessing was not guaranteed for all, as the text notes that only those whose "auspicious time had arrived" would receive the fortune of his gift.
