Why did Maharaj get so angry about the green kafni Kashiram made that he caused him to go broke?

The source material does not state that Maharaj became angry or made Kashiram poor because of the green clothes. In fact, Chapter 0 simply mentions that Kashiram stitched and gave Maharaj a green kafni and cap. The reason for Kashiram's subsequent financial difficulties was entirely different. His pride, which stemmed from the belief that 'I have the power to give' Dakshina, was considered an obstacle to his spiritual progress. To remove this pride, Maharaj started a 'barrage of demanding Dakshina' until Kashiram's funds were depleted, forcing him to realize he did not have the ultimate power to give.
