Why did Kashiram experience financial ruin, and how was his prosperity eventually restored?

Kashiram's financial ruin was not a random misfortune but a deliberate spiritual lesson orchestrated by Sai Baba. According to Chapter 0, Kashiram had developed a sense of pride in his ability to give Dakshina to Maharaj, which is considered an obstacle to spiritual progress. To remove this pride, Maharaj began demanding more and more Dakshina from him, forcing Kashiram to borrow until he could no longer do so. This entire 'leela' was designed to make him realize his own powerlessness as a 'giver.' His prosperity was restored only after he fully grasped this lesson. As soon as he was convinced that he did not have the power to give, his financial condition began to improve, and he became prosperous once again, free from the anxiety and pride that had previously accompanied his offerings.
