Why did high-caste Brahmins worship Sai Baba, even though he lived in a mosque and defied traditional purity norms?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 7

Despite Sai Baba living in a mosque and not adhering to caste distinctions, high-caste Brahmins, including keepers of the sacred fire known as Agnihotris, would come and prostrate before him. As Chapter 7 explains, they would abandon their pride in ritual purity upon seeing him. The text suggests that people were initially amazed and came to see the proof of his divinity for themselves. However, upon meeting him, they would become 'silent and humble.' This indicates that Baba's spiritual power and divine presence were so profound that they transcended all social and religious conventions, making his place of residence or association irrelevant to his devotees.
