Why did Dr. Pillay believe he was suffering, and how did Sai Baba's solution differ from his own?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 34

In his moment of intense suffering, Dr. Pillay articulated his understanding of why he was in pain, even while questioning its fairness. Chapter 34 reveals his belief in the inexorable law of karma, as he states, "the fruits of past actions (Prarabdha) never fail." His proposed solution, born from desperation, was to end his current life and pay his karmic debt over the course of ten future births. Sai Baba, however, offered a completely different path. While He agreed with the underlying principle that karma must be suffered, His solution was one of grace and shared burden. He rejected the idea of deferring the pain, asking, "Why the burden of ten births?" Instead, He offered to condense the suffering into ten days by sharing it, demonstrating a divine alternative to Dr. Pillay's despairing proposal.
