While Baba's nature was generous, patience was essential because his actions were often unpredictable. As Chapter 27 recounts, devotees would bring books and present them to Baba, hoping to receive them back as a blessed item. However, Baba would not always return the book to the person who brought it. He might turn the pages and then, instead of giving it back to the owner whose hands were eagerly stretched out, he would give it to someone else, such as Madhavrao (Shama). This required the devotees to have faith and patience, accepting that Baba's will might differ from their own expectations.
Why did devotees need patience when they gave a book to Sai Baba for his blessing?
