Why did Dev feel that Baba had deceived him after the Udyapan festival?

Dev felt deceived because he failed to recognize Baba's presence at his Udyapan festival, as detailed in Chapter 40. He had invited Baba with great love and received a promise that Baba would attend. However, when Baba appeared in the form of a Sanyasi with two companions, Dev's mind was clouded by delusion, and he only saw them as uninvited guests. Believing Baba had not kept His word, Dev wrote a letter to Jog expressing his disappointment and confusion, stating, 'He told me... 'I am coming.' But it all turned out otherwise; I don't understand this at all.' His feeling of being deceived was a direct result of his inability to see through Baba's disguise.
