Das Ganu went to Sai Baba in Shirdi because he had encountered a problem while writing a commentary on the Ishavasya Upanishad, titled "Ishavasya-Bhavartha-Bodhini." As detailed in Chapter 20, a doubt arose in his mind that he could not resolve on his own. Upon taking this doubt to the feet of his Satguru, Sai Baba, he received very unusual advice. Baba told him, "The resolution of this doubt of yours will be done by the maidservant at Kaka’s house when you return there." This set the stage for a lesson to be learned through an unexpected source.
Why did Das Ganu seek out Sai Baba in Shirdi, and what surprising advice did he receive?
