Why did Damu Anna decide to visit Shirdi in person after receiving the initial written reply from Sai Baba?

Damu Anna decided to visit Shirdi in person because the reply letter he received contained a hint to do so. According to the narrative in Chapter 25, in that same letter that discouraged his cotton trade venture, it was also suggested to Damu Anna, "There is a difference between hearing and seeing; you should come here in person." This suggestion, attributed to Madhavrao, gave Damu Anna a new glimmer of hope. Despite his initial disappointment, he felt it was right to go, thinking, "Who knows, there might be benefit in that too. Perhaps He will give permission." This motivated him to travel to Shirdi, where he sat at Baba's feet, hoping to personally plead his case, even though he initially lacked the courage to speak.
