Why did Damodar Savlaram Kasar start the tradition of bringing a flag on Ram Navami?

📖 Chapter 0

Damodar Savlaram Kasar, also known as Damu Shet, was deeply saddened because he had two wives but no son. According to the account in Chapter 0, he was advised to seek Maharaj's blessing. He came to Shirdi, and Maharaj blessed him, after which he was granted a son. This miracle solidified his faith in Maharaj. Out of gratitude and devotion, Damu Shet took a vow to bring a new flag every Ram Navami and to feed the Fakirs who gathered there on that day. This tradition, born from a fulfilled wish, has been carried on since.
