Why did Bapusaheb Buti feel anxious and regretful when Sai Baba fell seriously ill?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 39

Bapusaheb Buti became very anxious when Sai Baba fell seriously ill because he feared his grand project, the Buti Wada, would be left unfulfilled. Chapter 39 explains that Buti was uneasy, wondering what would become of the mansion. His regret stemmed from the possibility that Baba's feet might never touch the temple he had spent lakhs of rupees on. He felt that without Baba, the mansion and the planned Murlidhar temple were useless. His heart was troubled by this great obstacle that arose just as the end of construction neared, making him fear his efforts and expense were in vain.
